Smoked Mackerel stockfish

Mackerel is the most consumed fish in Romania, and one of the most consumed fish in the world. It is found in many areas around the world and has a great importance for fish industry.

Mackerel has a typical aroma and it is very juicy. Smoked mackerel tastes delicious. His flavorful and tender flesh has a red-brown color. The amount of fat in fish can vary depending on the period when is caught between 3 and 30%.

We smoke the mackerel with natural smoke and we add spices to get a balanced taste that you will like. Fat fish such as mackerel consumed at least once a week can halve the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis, according to a recent study published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases. Fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that reduce the risk of heart and artery diseases, strengthen the immune system, reduce risk of prostate cancer and colon cancer. Also, the fish are rich in vitamins A, D, B6, B12, minerals (iodine, fluorine, phosphorus, copper, selenium, zinc) and low in saturated fat and cholesterol.

The consumption of fish devenit obicei alimentar, datorita continutului de substante nutritive, poate proteja organismul uman de multiple afectiuni cum ar fi:

  • Afectiuni ale inimii (atac de cord, ritm cardiac anormal, coagularea sangelui) – beneficiile se datoreaza scaderii nivelului trigliceridelor din sange;
